ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - Plant Sciences Department- Ph.D. in applicable field such as biology, plant science, plant biology, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational science, or systems biology. Post-doctoral or equivalent experience is preferred. ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - Plant Sciences- Candidates should have a PhD in a plant science discipline specializing in, but not limited to, plant carbohydrate biochemistry, cell wall biosyntheses/deconstruction, or plant enzymology to facilitate cellulosic ethanol production or the production of other biofuels. Candidates are expected to possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidates must also be able to work effectively in team setting with plant breeders, molecular biologists, and other plant scientists in the Institute of Agriculture, government agencies and with private sector clientele, required. Postdoctoral experience in highly preferred. Training and experience in plant physiology and a working knowledge of cropping systems will be beneficial. PROFESSOR AND HEAD - Biosystems Engineering and Soil Sciences- The successful candidate must qualify to the rank of professor in the Department of Biosystems Engineering and Soil Science with and earned doctoral degree in biosystems/agricultural engineering, or soil science, or other closely related field. In addition, the candidate must have the following: Evidence of exceptional academic achievements including extramural funding, as well as the demonstration of effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Experience with teaching, research, and/or Extension programs at a land grant university, and an understanding of and commitment to excellence for all three functions.
